Happy Sunday, friends! While it’s very rare for me to post something on the weekends, this occasion had to be documented. Early this morning Kyle and I had the chance to try the new breakfast menu at Hy-Vee! A total throwback to Sunday breakfasts after nights out in college. But in the best of ways. If there is one thing that can get Kyle up early on a Sunday morning, it’s the allure of a fabulous breakfast spread. And lets just say we were NOT disappointed. Hy-Vee is truly becoming a one-stop shop: groceries, dine-in or take-out options and Joe Fresh apparel too!
The New Breakfast Menu
If you’re familiar with traditional Hy-Vee breakfast, take those positives and multiply them by 10! The new breakfast menu at Hy-Vee truly had something for everyone. Savory? Covered. Sweet? You bet. Combination platters? Absolutely. The variety in the new selection is great and I love they include calorie counts on everything. Because it makes it super easy to fit into any macro counting or potential diet you may be adhering to!
His & Hers
To surprise who picked what here. Anyone who knows Kyle well knows he’s the salty one of us. And obviously I’m the sweet. Both in my attitude and my food choices 🙂 After looking at the menu, it took me about 2.2 seconds to pick the Berry Bliss Stuffed French Toast. I’m a sucker for a good French Toast, but add raspberries + blueberries + strawberries AND a vanilla drizzle? I mean come on. NO BRAINER. It took Kyle a bit longer to make his decision. Not because he didn’t see a ton of great options, but because he 99/100 times will choose some kind of breakfast burrito. So that’s what I figured he’d go with. But he surprised me when he went with the Ham Steak + Eggs Platter. Naturally I had to also add a cinnamon roll to our order. The icing was amazing!
Midwesterners, next time you’re debating where to stop in for breakfast at – or even where to order pick-up from – do yourself a favor & consider Hy-Vee. The new breakfast menu at Hy-Vee is 100% worth it. Your taste buds will thank you!
