Somehow we are just about to transition over into July. Like WHERE is summer going!? For some reason July 4 seems like the unofficial ‘halfway’ point of summer. And while I love the traditions around the holiday, it always bums me out just a bit. So in order to keep the vibe positive around it, I wanted to share 4 Outfits for the 4th of July! Hopefully these 4 combinations will give you some inspiration to find something similar in your own closets! And as always, these ideas are just that. IDEAS. My goal is for any of these to spark something creative in your mind! The last time I shared some July 4th inspo was back in 2016. And LOL to that post 🙂 I broke out my 4 looks by event. Because who doesn’t change 4x in one day!?

Outfit 1: Church + Family Brunch

4 Outfits for the 4th of July

Dress (size small) / Sandals (TTS)

With July 4 falling on a Sunday this year, I figured we’d start with a somewhat dressy + cute dress. The red, white & blue combo on this maxi is festive but in a subtle way. I love the ruffled sleeves and the length makes it perfect for sandals OR wedges. You can easily take this from the church pews right to brunch with the family. A flowy silhouette makes it comfortable and figure-flattering, while also keeping you cool! Plus I have a feeling that mom, grandma and any other ladies around you will think this is just as cute as you do!

Outfit 2: Afternoon at the Lake/Pool

4 Outfits for the 4th of July

Bikini Top (size 34B) / Bikini Bottoms (size 4) / Button-up (size small) / Sandals (TTS)

Well this one is pretty self-explanatory. Going out on the boat to get some sun, or laying by the pool to cool off on the 4th? A little red bikini is kind of a must. I grabbed this one from H&M earlier this Spring and despite the top being sold out in most sizes, there are plenty of other red options to choose from! No need to spend a ton on one either. To top it off, throw on a classic white button down as a coverup and call it a day. I love the look of linen shirts like this one. So easy to button all the way up and grab a drink at the marina!

Outfit 3: Casual Backyard BBQ + Yard Games

4 Outfits for the 4th of July

Bodysuit (size small) / White Shorts (size 26) / Sandals (TTS) / Baseball Hat

I love an excuse to wear a baseball hat. Bad hair day? Throw one on. Want the boys to think you look hot? A hat never fails. A bodysuit {with a snap closure, of course} is a great way to take a basic white denim short and class it up a bit. Red makes a statement, but you could easily go for a navy option as well. This combination is the perfect mix of effortless, chic and casual all at the same time. And comfortable too. Which is absolutely necessary when the friendly game of bags or Kan Jam turn extra competitive!

Outfit 4: Nighttime Fireworks & S’mores

4 Outfits for the 4th of July

Crewneck Pullover (size medium) / Denim Shorts (size 26) / Sneakers (TTS)

Does anything scream ‘it’s time for fireworks’ more than a cozy crewneck? Not for me. Once the sun goes down, I’m immediately chilly. Even if it’s still 90* outside. Boathouse Apparel {use code mwmix15 for 15% off at checkout} drops some of the best seasonal pieces and their Fourth of July lines never disappoint. I have THIS tee too and love it. Because we usually have to walk some to get to wherever we’re watching fireworks, a sneaker is must. Plus they keep my toes from getting cold, too. Yes, I’m a wimp. Well aware!
