Consistency is key, so a better-late-than never Workout Wednesday post is here! Maybe my brain is a little slow because I’m still kind of sore from my Sculpt Studio class I took last Saturday? Only kidding. Or am I? Seriously though, if you’re in the Omaha metro — go take a class. It’s hard. But in the best way. Plus all their Megaformer machines have rap lyrics under them. Sarah Marshall, of my FAVORITE girls (check out where I first fell in love with her here!), co-founded Sculpt with Emily Burgat (immediate new friend) and I wish they’d open a studio in my basement because I’d be a regular. If it weren’t for my thoughts on pilates-ish classes…see question 3 below đ

Top 3 Questions of the Week
Does Kyle workout with you? Does he support your workouts?
Up until mid-March, Kyle & I worked out together, at the local high school gym 4 days, a week at 5am. We had been on that routine for almost 18 months. Then COVID hit and our access to the gym went bye bye. I pivoted my workouts, Kyle not so much LOL. The past 2 weeks he’s been back on the train, though! To be fair (and it’s extremely annoying), Kyle’s weight doesn’t change so I’d say he’s still ‘in shape’ by most peoples’ standards. As for him supporting my workouts…who do you think takes 90% of my videos? HA. He absolutely supports me in my training, races, etc. Does he get annoyed with my constant asking to buy new fitness equipment or having to wakeup at 5am on a Sunday morning to drive me to a starting line or doubling up workouts on Workout Wednesday? I’m sure. But he’d never say so. If my significant other didn’t fully support my passions, that would be a red flag for me. Luckily Kyle is my live-in gym buddy, whether he’s thrilled by that or not đ
What does a post-workout or post-run meal look like for you?
Yikes. This one is hard because I’m bad about eating soon after I complete my workouts. Any run longer than an hour, my appetite usually doesn’t come back until at least 90 minutes POST run, and since I workout so early during the week, I don’t usually eat until about an hour after them. But when I do FINALLY eat, it’s typically either some kind of bowl. Either oatmeal or coconut milk yogurt as my base, a spoonful of cashew butter, some granola for a crunch & either 1/2 a banana or a handful of blueberries. Oh and coffee of course! Ideally I’m fitting in good protein with some carbs & substance to last meal until lunch. Writing this out is making me realize I can definitely do better here!
Any workouts you hate or would never try?
Gosh, hate? I’d say that’s a strong word but my thoughts on CrossFit aren’t great. Before anyone comes at me with that comment, I’m well aware that there are plenty of amazing CrossFit athletes who know what they’re doing. But that’s also my issue with it — MOST people doing those types of workouts DO NOT know what their doing. And from my perspective, many of those gyms lack oversight. Hard pass on it for me. Ok, that’s all I’m saying about that đ Not a huge fan of slow workouts…barre, yoga, etc. I see major benefits to them and personally have seen amazing results but they’re not my favorite. Probably because I find them hard! Props to anyone does those classes regularly. I’d literally rather run 20 miles than do slow, bodyweight pulses. No joke. Honestly though, there’s really nothing I can think of that I wouldn’t try in terms of workouts. I’m always up for new ways to burn calories! Have a class or app or something I need to try?!
