Stripes for President!

Is that possible? Can we all vote for stripes instead of the options that we have?! Pretty please. I mean stripes are universally loved. They’re non-conforming and never interfere with each other, go well with everything, are acceptable in almost all situations AND they make you look good. All characteristics of someone or something I can support fully! Don’t worry, I’m not going to go get all political on the blog. While I do enjoy political conversations, I much prefer to keep this social outlet to moslty lighthearted conversation and not debates! I will, however, say that I truly hope everyone exercises their right to vote tomorrow! We are so lucky as Americans to have a choice of who leads our country and many places do not have that luxury. *Rant over!* 🙂

The $19 tee we all need.

This striped long sleeve tee is perfection. It’s under $20 and can be worn casually or easily dressed up a bit for the office. Catch it while you can though because it seems like it’s constantly going in and out of stock. Right now there are a few sizes left but it could easily be gone tomorrow. Just keep an eye out–it’s totally worth religiously checking the Nordstrom site, I promise! I got lucky enough to grab one of the size Smalls a few weeks back and have been wearing it almost nonstop. When I began packing for a weekend in Texas I knew it would be coming along with me. It was the perfect casual top to pair with my favorite black denim, Nikes I stole from my Mama and the newest addition to my sunglass collection for a morning of coffee shops and Little League. Earlier this week I tucked the tee into a pencil skirt and added a statement necklace for a client meeting and I felt equal parts business and comfortable!

I’m bummed to be heading back to Omaha late tonight but am definitely ready to see my boys! Hoping Kyle has the guest bedroom painting done that I asked him to finish, too. Off to grab coffee with Mom and do a little shopping before lunch with Dad! I checked a bag for the 3 day weekend because I wanted to have plenty of space to bring home some new goodies, obvi. 🙂 Also, sorry about the quality of these pictures–it wasn’t until we loaded them onto my laptop that we could see the weird streak/glare. Sometimes you just have to roll with real life though!

I love stripes!! I have so many striped tops. Plus those jeans are super cute. Um I totally agree. I think stripes would be a better option for president haha
