It’s Friday, it’s Fall and I’m loving fringe.

Those are my 3 favorite F words today. Usually I have another favorite word that begins with that letter but I’m really trying to eliminate it. Trying is the key there 😉 Anyway, HAPPY FRIDAY to all of you! Anyone else feel like this week went a lot slower than usual? I’m chalking it up to Halloween falling on a Monday, late nights watching the World Series and the fact that we’re now in November and I’m just super antsy for the holidays to be upon us. Not wishing away time by any means, just wishing the work week went by a teeny tiny bit faster than the snail’s pace it seems to. I’m also curious when it’s acceptable to start decorating for Christmas? Asking for a friend. That same friend wonders if it’s fine to keep up the Fall/Thanksgiving decor on the main floor but put the reindeer sheets on the guest bed, add some plaid pillows and swap out the rugs in the upstairs bathroom? Too soon? Yeah, that’s kind of what I told her but I’m not so sure she’s going to listen.

Casual is a constant theme.

Really though, when I think casual I think denim + sweater + booties and not sweats–those I call my comfies. But I honestly feel like I’ve been wearing variations of this combination for the last month and I’m not mad about it. These three constants have been keeping me warm, stylish and are typically appropriate for just about any occasion. Living in the Midwest, my sweater collection is probably a bit ridiculous to some people but in all honesty, I really really dislike washing sweaters {so many different requirements depending on the materials!} so I like to have more than enough which allows me to avoid laundry as much as humanly possible. I also love feeling like I’m wrapped up in a warm, cozy blanket when I put on a sweater or cardigan so most of mine tend to be of a more oversized fit. With this casual combination also comes an ease for swapping a single item out to make it dressier; swap the booties for a stiletto boot or the grandpa cardigan for a fitted cashmere turtleneck and you’re ready for a nice dinner. The fringe sweater I’m wearing here is under $40 and is super versatile. I love the soft cream color and while the sleeves are a bit cropped, it’s actually quite a bit heavier than I realized when I picked it out from Romwe. No shock to anyone, these jeans have been on major repeat since I got them a few months ago and I don’t plan to stop wearing them any time soon! They’ve recently been restocked in all sizes so if you’ve been debating them, I highly suggest grabbing them now! Oh and these adorable booties I just got a few weekends ago and I’m seriously obsessed. The color is unlike any other pair I have and they look much more expensive than their sale price!

I’m heading home to Dallas this afternoon for a long weekend so be sure to follow me on Snapchat {kristinkruse} to see what my parents, Janae & I are up to this weekend! Lots of coffee, shopping & a Polo Match are on the agenda! Hope y’all have fabulous weekends 🙂
