#1 Apple everything!
In Monday’s post I shared our trip to the Apple Orchard so it only seemed appropriate for my food favorite to be apples! We picked over 80 apples in 6 different variations and despite me baking up a storm on Saturday, we still have nearly 50 left. Anyone need some apples!? I used recipes out of Pioneer Woman’s cookbook because I’m obsessed with her and I’ve yet to find something I, or whomever I’m cooking for, didn’t enjoy completely. The 3 recipes I pulled from her were Dumplings {I subbed 7-up for the Mountain Dew!}, Crisp {obviously I used apples and not peaches}, and Applesauce {I added a few dashes of nutmeg for some extra flavor}. I threw together my own concoction for the turnovers I made because YOLO. 😉 This weekend the SIL and her fiance will be in town so I’m going to make Applesauce Pancakes for Sunday Brunch, too. Our house has literally been filled with a warm apple aroma for a week. No complaints here, though!
#2 Pumps and Iron’s 5 Minute Warm Up
I adore Nicole and have been following her blog for as long as I can remember. She regularly posts great workouts that involve minimal space and equipment but that thoroughly kick your butt! I’m always trying out new ones and going back to some of my favorites {usually ab-related!} on Pumps & Iron. Last week she shared a super quick stretching video that I am in love with. I usually–ok 99% of the time–skip warm up stretching of any kind and just jump right into my workout. I know I shouldn’t but I figure I’ll just stretch extra at the end. And I typically don’t do well with that either. Oops! Anyway, after seeing this 5 Minute Warm Up routine, I decided I needed to implement it in my life because 5 minutes is nothing. I encourage y’all to try it out for yourselves…I really think you’ll love it too! 🙂
#3 Blanket Scarves
Call me a basic B, but I loveee a good blanket scarf. Part cozy cuddle buddy, part fashion accessory. Hello, perfection. The weather in Omaha is still a tad too warm to break any of mine out just yet but that hasn’t stopped me from adding a few more to my collection. Some of my favorites from last year have also been restocked which makes me equally as excited! Below are my current favorites…
I’m SO glad you linked all the blanket scarfs! I’ve been looking to add a few more this fall and winter so this was so helpful in providing some more options! Also – totally going to make that recipe!
I love blanket scarves too!! I am so ready to wrap myself in them but the weather is not cooperating hahah!
