Happy Monday! We’re going to keep things real light & fluffy here in Monday Musings – Vol 11 because I’m right on the tipping point of losing it. And I have a sneaking suspicion I may not be the only one… Retail therapy helps me ignore the obnoxiousness of the world but my accountant {AKA Kyle} isn’t a huge fan of that coping mechanism. Can anyone relate?!

What I’m eyeing…

Three bags. Last year for my 31st birthday I got THIS camera bag. Well I thought that ‘birthday bag’ idea may be a good little tradition for milestone-ish birthdays. Not that 31 was LOL. But the fact that I’m {hopefully} coming out of 2020 with all 10 fingers and toes still attached seems like a pretty damn impressive milestone. So 32 is deserving of another bag. But it isn’t happening. WHAAAT?! Mark this down: Kristin is being RESPONSIBLE with money for once. The 3 bags I have narrowed my search down to {this throwback Gucci, this classic Mulberry and this chic yet traditional Burberry) are about 1/5th of what it’s costing us to frame our basement later this month. That is taking the (birthday) cake over a new bag. Have no fear, I’m still getting a little luxury goodie. My current card case has been around for a bit, so it’s time for a fresh one! Deciding between a bold red, a pretty blush pink, a barbie-ish pink, or a simplistic canvas combo. Votes!? Also, want to take a trip down memory lane? Check out my 2016 Birthday Wish List! What I bought from the Sephora Sale…

Today is the last day to save up to 20% off at the Sephora Holiday Sale. All you have to do is sign up for their ‘rewards’ via email and you score 10% off. The more you spend in a year, the better status you get. I’m at the middle one, so I snagged a few things last week for 15% off. A lot of girls have been sharing their picks throughout the week but I wasn’t really in the mood. What I’m SO excited for…

Texassssssssssssss! Picture me saying that VERY LOUDLY. We’re going to spend Thanksgiving with my parents & Janae!!!! I owe Kyle a million x infinity. We switch every year Thanksgiving w/ my family, Christmas w/ his and then swap the following. This year is Christmas with my family and Haley is hosting. Because we won’t be traveling far for Christmas, we’ll get to spend quite a bit of time with Kyle’s family too which is great. Well yesterday Kyle asked if I’d like to go to Texas for Thanksgiving. And I cried. It’ll be the first holiday without Papa and being able to be there with my mom for that means the absolute world to me. We’re also not mad about getting the F out of here for a few days. Fingers crossed to WARM weather because girlfriend needs the sun. Also, really can’t wait for matching sister PJs at Christmas. So fun!

Random Ramblings…

Operation Winter Wonderland is in full force. I’d say I’m 80% of the way done. I shared a little sneak peek yesterday on IG stories & the response was great! Our Christmas tree is the 7′ flocked, prelit style & next year when the basement is finished it’s going down there. The living room ideally needs a 9′ style, so I’ll be stalking THIS ONE after Christmas to hopefully order it on a good sale.

My feet are ALWAYS COLD. Year round. Never not freezing. ‘Tis the season for frigid weather and our wood floors being cold, so ’tis the season to break out my FAVORITE SOCKS that actually help {somewhat} keep my toes cozy. Order them in every color. Ask for them for stocking stuffers. Just get yourself some! 🙂
I was at Target last Friday and found these pj pants (sized down to a XS) and this lounge pullover. OMGSH I cannot begin to explain to you HOW FREAKING SOFT the top is. Insane. I sized up to a medium for a cozy, oversized fit and got the charcoal.
We went to Taco Co. on Saturday night and basically all I want today is a shrimp taco, but it’s Meatless Monday so I can’t have shrimp. And I’m avoiding carbs to an extent so I can’t really have that flour tortilla either. If you’re in Omaha and don’t have lame restrictions like me, please go have one for me!
Last but not least, I can’t finish Monday Musings – Vol 11 without a little bitching… FUN FACT: you CAN UNFOLLOW someone WITHOUT telling them you’re doing so. Novel concept, I know. But truly, you can. I did plenty of unfollowing over the weekend and GUESS WHAT!? I didn’t inform a single person I did so. Try it for yourself! 😉
