As a follow-up to my Fitting Room Try-on, I wanted to share what actually came home with me. So I bring y’all my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: What I Bought post! I didn’t buy as much while in Kansas City as I expected but I did place a large order last Thursday. Some of it has come, so I’m sharing those pieces below. DENIM: Size 26
I never pass up a cheap, nice-fitting basic tee. Love that this is crew neck and the sleeves are a little longer. It runs small but I like the fit a lot! Jeans were a surprise but they felt very 90s to me and I loved the way they fit me. Went with my true size 26–they’re a bit tight when I first put them on but they stretched out quickly.
DENIM: Size 26
Another great ‘basic’ for my closet was this $25 sweater. I sized up to a small for a slightly slouchy fit but not too oversized. It’s lightweight and this color is not see-through. Each year I give myself 1-2 pairs of ‘splurge’ denim & these dark, chewed-hem Frames were one of two pairs I was debating on (find out in my IG stories what I decided). I love the fit and feel — they’re medium rise and the ankle length is great for my height.
I had my eye on a similar jacket during last year’s sale and missed out so I knew this one had to be an in-store purchase for me so I didn’t miss out yet again. I initially was trying on a small but it was just too baggy in my arms so bless my sales associate’s heart because she roamed the store to find me the 1 XS the system said they had left! I cannot wait to wear this on repeat this Fall. Yes, it’s pricey but I know I’ll wear it a ton.
JEANS: Size 26
This long sleeve is such a great basic! I probably sound like a broken record so I’m sorry. It will be great for layering or just to wear on its own. These jeans are my official splurge for designer denim! I loveee the length & the rise. Worth the investment!

SNAKESKIN TRIMMED HAT
Same top, in black, as above and same jeans. Definitely will be a repeat outfit for me! This hat is great as well. Happy to have at least a few ‘wear now’ pieces from the sale!
AIRBRUSH LEGGINGS: Size Small
All about a good graphic tee! This one comes in XXS-XXL so that’s always a positive. These leggings are slightly ‘coated’ and do run a bit small. I won’t workout in them but definitely will be worn regularly to run errands and lounge.
My green sweater is the same as the cream one a few photos above. This color is super pretty and a nice pop of color in my neutral closet.
Polka dots are much more me than the leopard print in this cami, but to each their own! 🙂 The straps are adjustable so the XS fits perfectly. Wear it now like this or under a cardigan come Fall.
Hello, snow leopard! This print is SO CUTE. Unfortunately this top isn’t mine–I ordered it for my sister Haley for her birthday but of course I had to try it on for myself. I’m in the medium and it would be totally fine to lounge in.
Now this is a leopard print I like! Long sleeve + shorts combos are my favorite to sleep in and I feel like they aren’t always available, so this was a must for me. I literally don’t have any satin pjs at the moment so I was super excited by these!
My fav pjs in the whole wide world! I get 1-2 pairs of these each year during the sale and this year’s set of course didn’t disappoint. Kyle even says how soft these are!
I pretty much only wear these underwear anymore so when they’re on sale, I grab at least a few pairs! They’re basically no show and super comfy! TMI but I was never a thong person until I tried these.
I’ve been all about hats lately! This one is no exception. The fit is great and the snakeskin trim adds a fun pop. The color is a neutral-ish tan/brown so it will easily match everything!
Cute, waterproof boots with a non-slip sole? Sold. Living in the Midwest and dealing with crazy weather, these will be a lifesaver. They’re cute enough to wear to work meetings if the forecast is unpredictable, and they make me feel kind of badass honestly. I took my true size 8 because the leather will stretch some. I tried them on with socks and fit fine in them too!
SO MUCH more comfy than last year’s version. The marled black paired with the gold caught my eye and the soft soles pushed the purchase across the finish line. These ran true to size for me and I’ve already worn them twice.
These are not cheap. But they’re real suede, the heel isn’t too high and the front-cut makes them super flattering on my thick calves! I sized down from my normal 8 to a 7.5 because they will do some stretching. Love that they look grey in some light and taupe in others.
The best slippers in the universe. The fur is plush and cozy and this coral color is different than anything I’ve had. Hoping it won’t show dog hair!

My T3 curling iron rarely goes on sale so if you’ve been debating it, grab one! I honestly don’t LOVE it but I don’t dislike it either. My hair is super thick so maybe that’s why I don’t feel like it holds a curl that well, or maybe I’m just the minority because most people rave about it. This lip set is annoyingly pricey but the color is amazing and it has stayed on for 4+ hours without needing to be reapplied so lets hope it lasts me like 6 months! And the lash serum…I’ve heard great things about the brand and it’s basically on sale for B1G1 free with the deal so I had to try it. I ruined my poor eyelashes with extensions so I’m hoping this revitalizes them super fast.
Never in a million years would I have believed that I would need a blanket that cost about as much as our monthly electric bill, but then I bought 1 and haven’t looked back. This thing is softer than anything you could imagine. Plus it’s HUGE…like 6 feet x 4.5 feet or something like that. Basically you can now have a slumber party with just 1 cozy blanket.
