It’s like Christmas in July! Today I wanted to get a quick post up to chat about Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Prep. Arguably the biggest sale of the year in the world of fashion, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in MAJOR. And that is putting it lightly. If you’re an avid shopper, you’re well aware of the amazing deals this sale brings. If you’re not, prepare to be hooked. I’m on year 5 of excitedly awaiting Early Access to open and this may be the best one yet! Last Summer *this post* got great feedback about being super helpful on getting prepared so I thought I’d do something similar. Today’s Nordstrom Anniversary Prep guide is covering 3 ‘need-to-knows’ / misconceptions…
You MUST be a Nordstrom Cardholder to gain Early Access. Buttt…there’s a secret!
Yes, I know…another credit card. But this is a bit different. You MUST be a Nordstrom cardholder to gain access to the sale THIS FRIDAY, JULY 12 before the general public can shop it on July 19. Things WILL SET OUT so having the card means there is less risk of missing out on what you want, and it’s not too late to apply for the card HERE. When you apply for the card, you actually get $60 in ‘notes’ to spend…HELLO free money! But here is the kicker…you don’t technically have to use the card to buy during Early Access. You just have to have it. Maybe this is cheating the system a bit but it maybe it isn’t. You need a card to shop but at checkout, you can use any card to purchase. So if you have a Southwest cc that racks up miles, or whatever, totally use that. Or maybe you’re like me and your husband despises credit cards {my Nordstrom one in particular, ha!} and would prefer you use your debit? Go right ahead!
NEW Fall pieces.
It may seem confusing to those who haven’t shopped the sale before, but that’s why I’m here with some Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Prep. These prices truly WILL GO UP to full price on August 5. This is the one time you can shop new Fall/Winter items at major discounts before the season really starts. I know it seems weird to be looking at wool coats when it’s 97* outside, but trust me when I say that you’ll regret it if you don’t. Nothing is worse than not pulling the trigger on that cashmere sweater you love in July for $99.90 only to find out it’s now $160 when it’s time to actually wear it. Yes, a lot of the pieces this year are very similar to pieces from last year but that’s how it works. Why completely recreate something people love when you can just make a few updates for the new season and know people will flock to it!? Pieces like this v-neck tee, this cardigan & these sneakers are all going to be hot again this year like they have been in the past!
Free Shipping/Free Returns
Take advantage of this. In between sizes or unsure? Order multiple. If you don’t, you run the risk of the piece being gone for good! Last year I ordered 4 different styles of jeans but 8 pairs…it’s a bit annoying on the bank account for a short time, but thankfully I did that because my favorite black jeans — they’re back again this year — sold-out super quickly and I would’ve missed my size if I didn’t buy 2 sizes to choose between. Nordstrom’s shipping & returns policy is a breeze so it makes this super easy!
Ok, that’s all for my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Prep! I’m heading to Kansas City bright & early tomorrow morning to pre-shop the Early Access sale in the Oak Park store. I’ll be coming at y’all hot with best-sellers, what I’m buying, top category picks, etc. so be sure to check back!
