Mondays are real ringers aren’t they?
By definition, a ringer is someone or something fraudulently substituted for another in a competition or event. Ok so I mean Monday can’t exactly be a ringer by that definition but it does kind of make sense. It’s supposed to be the bright, shiny start to a new week but it kind of also feels like a fraud. Like a storm cloud hanging over your head the minute the alarm goes off for the first day of a new work week. All I know is that I’m positive I’d be a more productive member of society if I could have 3 {well 4 but I don’t want to be too greedy} day weekends and a slightly shorter work week. I’m all for working 4 10s, or in the case of being salaried my usual schedule HA. Maybe I’m weird but I’m quite sure my body needs a little bit more rest than the average person. Helllllllo, my bedtime is a solid 9:30pm and I need 8 hours of sleep to function. Call me a grandma, I take absolutely no offense to that. ๐ On that note, my Saturday was dedicated to Netflix + Chill. Like I took that phrase to an entirely new level and I have no shame. It was cold, rainy and there was no way I could do anything outside the entire day so I slept in, ran 6.5 miles on the treadmill and parked myself on the couch. Totally relaxed and recharged which was perfect because yesterday I spent the entire day, after OrangeTheory, cleaning the house and supervising Kyle’s yard work and flower planting. I’m really great at giving directions if I do say so myself!
The easiest tee.
Casual vibes are more than just my thing, they’re literally my life’s motto in terms of clothes. So the moment I saw THIS tee pop up in a Madewell email, I didn’t hesitate to find out more about it. The heathered grey color combined with the piped sleeves and neckline made it more than just a basic tee and when I saw a $32 price tag, I knew I had to have it. Unfortunately for me it was sold out in both an XS and Small. I’m not one to let a little ‘sold out’ action get me down so I played the waiting game. Just like a psycho I would alternate between Madewell’s website and Nordstrom to see who was going to restock my size first. I managed to get it in my Nordstorm cart 3 days after falling in love with it only to get the dreaded ‘jk she gone‘ email like 3 hours later. Two more days passed and I saw it available directly from Madewell in an XS and I couldn’t click purchase fast enough. This time it really was going to be mine and the minute I tried it on I thought about which color I needed next. The material is a bit thicker so it smooths and isn’t see-thru and the slightly cropped cut makes it ideal for high-waisted jeans like my trusty Levi’s. The bad news now is this exact color combo seems to be gone, for real this time. But on the bright side there are some adorable striped options! Just get your hands on one quickly! Alright babes, I’m off to survive the rest of this day on NO COFFEE. Who am I even?! ๐
