The Barre Code is now in WEST OMAHA!
For those of you who aren’t Nebraskans, that won’t make a whole lot of sense to you but for those who are locals: how exciting is that news?! It is NO secret that I love to switch things up in terms of my workouts and fitness routine and when I discovered The Barre Code was opening a location in my favorite part of town, I was beyond excited. Fast forward a few months after initially seeing their sign go up on their boutique space and after stalking like crazy on Facebook, the time has come for them to open their doors to the public. YAY! I had the chance to stop into the new studio last Friday and spend some time getting to know the owner, Bonnie, and I cannot say enough good things about her! She’s adorable, bubbly, driven, motivated and her body is totally #goals. On Monday I took my first class with her over my lunch hour and I’m STILL sore. In the best kind of way. This morning I ran 6 miles before coming into the office and again, I’m going back to get my butt kicked over lunch by Bonnie today. I may regret it but I also think it’ll be worth it. 🙂 Check out my super fun interview below and be sure to find a way into the studio sooner rather than later! For anyone local {or anyone who has a Barre Code nearby that has never tried it out!} you can use promo code FREECLASS to try out a class for free!
Introduce yourself
Hi guys! I’m Bonnie Eisenhart – owner of The Barre Code West Omaha. I started with The Barre Code at our HQ in Chicago 7 years ago as a client, quickly began instructor training and within two years was a certified Master Trainer – meaning I was training other instructors. Three years ago my husband’s job brought a move to Omaha, and at that time The Barre Code Dundee was in the process of opening. I was hired as the Master Trainer for Dundee and began my Barre Code journey in a brand new city. In 2015 my husband and I purchased a home in West Omaha, and my wheels turning – I knew this was the perfect place to expand The Barre Code community – hence The Barre Code West Omaha was born. What started as a conversation quickly turned into a one year journey that has lead me here – the owner of my own studio! I am a wife and dog mom to my boy, Oliver. When not in the studio, I spend time with the great friends I’ve met in Omaha. I love to check out local restaurants, cook at home and educate myself on holistic living. I love being out and about in the community networking and expanding my community.
3 Random/fun fact about you
I love ice cream. Like, I LOVE ICE CREAM. On any given day I can be found in the drive thru at Dairy Queen (crunch coat – what!!), in line at Orange Leaf or (if I’m super lucky) at Ted & Wally’s downtown. It’s my treat, and I try hard to control this ice cold addiction! I also judge restaurants by their dessert menus!
Tell us about Barre Code!
The Barre Code is a comprehensive fitness program designed for a woman’s body based on three pillars – strength, cardio and restoration. In addition to being the  best in class group fitness program, The Barre Code is a community that promotes positive body image, celebrates inner and outer beauty and fosters individuality.
Your goals for the studio
I want the studio to be a place where everyone feels welcomed and empowered and can focus on inner and outer strength. We pride ourselves on leaving negativity at the door and letting class be our clients’ “me” time.
Favorite class to teach & why?
BarRestore. I love the intensity of strength combined with a longer focus on physical and mental restoration. I have been exploring meditation in my personal life, and I feel that BarRestore has peaked this interest and allows me to foster another side of myself. Personal growth is very important to me, and this class allows me to grow!
Besides TBC, how else do you stay fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle?
Heath for me is twofold. Physically I try to feed my body what it needs to maintain a busy lifestyle and teach multiple classes each week, sometimes day. I start everyday with eggs with avocado and rely on fruit and protein bars to carry me through my morning classes. My husband and I typically cook dinner at home – although lately we’ve been relying on Eat Fit Go to provide us healthy pre-made meals! I take care of my body by seeing my chiropractor, Dr. Hinze, once or twice a week and get bi-weekly massages. Â For mental wellness I have discovered floating – it’s amazing!! I also need alone/quiet time everyday. It helps me recharge.
