Winter storm Jupiter isn’t messing around!
Usually when the Weather Channel hypes up big storms a week in advance they end up being so much less crazy than predicted. The Meteorologists talk up tons of snow, rain, severe threats, etc. and then you barely end up with a dusting of the white stuff. Well this time I think they got it pretty dang accurate. Omaha started getting ice around 3pm yesterday afternoon and it’s been nonstop since. Some people might go stir crazy but I secretly enjoy being ‘stuck’ inside. There are about a million and one things I need to do before I head to Kansas City tomorrow for our annual Sales Kick-off for work and honestly I probably accomplish 3x as much from my home office than actually being IN the office. Combine a productive work day with the ability to sneak in a longer-than-usual weekday morning run early this AM, coffee in my PJs cuddled under a blanket and no need for makeup and it’s pretty much bliss. Minus the fact the dogs can barely make it off the patio without sliding everywhere, all is well! Clearly you can see from these photos that they were taken a few days ago since right now I’m actually wearing leggings, slippers and an oversized sweatshirt. Living my best life right now, y’all! 😉
Neutrals never fail.
It’s not shocking to see me wearing a cozy sweater, especially one in a soft neutral tone so when I saw this one inside local boutique Four Sisters I didn’t even think twice before walking up to the checkout counter with it. I felt the heaviness of it, immediately realized it had no wool in it and saw that it could be worn off-the-shoulder or as more of a drapey cowl-neck and knew that it didn’t even need to be tried on before coming home with me. Those kinds of purchases are my favorite because I’m so in love that I don’t have to weigh any options or go back and forth in my mind about my actual need for the piece. I wore it with an older pair of overly distressed denim and a moss green bootie for some errands and a lunch date and I was super cozy. I’ve also worn it with leggings and Uggs for a super casual look. As usual I’m found in casual but cute–at least in my opinion–outfits that can be transitioned from day to date and an adorable neutral knit fits that mold perfectly.

You look so cute and cozy! I love that sweater. The ice storm ended up not being as bad in Kansas City as they thought, but I was totally okay with taking things easy this weekend too! Isn’t it funny how you get so much more done at home working than going into the office, I wish I could work from home everyday 😉 xo Jana | http://www.janastyleblog.com
Love that sweater! So cozy and chic! The cowl neck is cute and I bet it can convert to an off the shoulder look too!
