I’m not usually a rule-breaker.

Not in fashion or in my real life. But for some reason the minute I put this sweater dress + OTK boot combination on I felt like I was breaking some unwritten rules. I mean barely any of my thighs are showing between the hemline and top of the boots yet I felt a bit exposed. The exposed-feel was something much different than an open back or a low-cut top but it was kind of exhilarating. Speaking of exhilarating…Christmas is TWO DAYS AWAY! Ahhh. Anyone else feel like they cannot think of anything other than spending time with family, hot toddies, Elf, unwrapping presents and matching PJs? I sure hope I’m not the only one! I absolutely adore the spirit of Christmas and celebrating Jesus’ birth. While Winter is far from my favorite season, this is totally my favorite time of the year.

Wear anywhere.

With the slight mock neck collar and the rib knit material I knew I could push the envelope a little and wear it to work. As always, I need pieces that can go from office to happy hour to church and anything in between. Success again in the aspect of versatility! Plus with a price tag under $50, this dress is the perfect cozy addition to your closet. Since it was delivered I’ve also paired it over skinny jeans and loafers for a more laid-back look along with slippers to lounge around the house on the weekend. It’s seriously so good. Ooooh and I wouldn’t be doing my blogger duty if I didn’t let you know that my Stuart Weitzman Rockerchic boots are 30% off. They’re incredibly comfortable and while they’re a big splurge, I know they’ll be a staple for years to come.

By the way, it’s SNOWING! I’m in North Central Iowa right now at my in-laws and it’s literally pouring giant snowflakes. It’s absolutely gorgeous; like you shook up a snow globe. I’m obsessed! After a quick yoga session, I play to blast the Pentatonix’s Christmas album, decorate cookies and run into town for a Creme Brulee Latte from the glory that is Dunkin’ Donuts. Cheers to a weekend filled with love, laughter and lots of relaxation! xox
