Y’all, I could use a serious drink right now.
After the chaos began last Wednesday afternoon, a split-second decision to get on the last flight from San Francisco to Dallas late Thursday night and the past 3+ days of basically living in a hospital with Mom, I could use a drink. Or 12. I think every one of us, Janae included, could. On the positive side, all 6 of us have been able to be together this entire time and we’ve been lucky to have some awesome nurses {one not so great!} and a great Vascular Neurologist along with being in an incredibly nice Baylor facility. As if I weren’t already beyond thankful for an amazing woman as my Mom and an incredibly strong and supportive Dad, I now am 100x more so. I’m also grateful for a God who is gracious and who brings peace in times of worry. And peace we ALL need this morning as we wait for Mama to head into surgery.
Four Sisters for the win!
Now lets talk about something much lighter…my FAVORITE local boutique, Four Sisters. If I could just live in the store, I’d be thrilled. Besides being stocked full of the cutest clothes and accessories, the store itself is decorated adorabley and they have pink chairs in the fitting room. Total goals. I was lucky enough a few weeks ago to pop in and pick out one of their newest, and cutest, Christmas tees. The cheeky saying ‘The Tree’s Not The Only Thing Getting Lit This Year’ caught my eye first but the softness of the top sold me. Perfect combination. Hot toddies have been a part of our Christmas tradition since we’ve been ‘legal’ to drink 😉 and this year we’ll be toasting with beverages in thankfulness even more than usual! Also, can we pause for a quick moment for the color combination in this blanket scarf? It’s Christmas-y without being boring and the bold red stands out among my ridiculous collection of scarves. If being extra cozy is your thing–you need the scarf immediately. For those of you who aren’t nearby, you can order from Four Sisters’ website and be sure to follow along on Instagram to see all of their cute new arrivals! My ideal weekend combo is made with the help of my tee & scarf…just needed to add my go-to lounge leggings, a cable knit cardigan and classic boots to have the ideal weekend outfit.
**My Mom’s surgery is scheduled for 12pm CST this afternoon so if you find yourself looking at the clock between 11:45am-2:30pm, please send up a prayer and some love! We appreciate all of the support everyone’s provided so far and a big push of prayers going up today would be amazing!** <3
