What girl isn’t a fan of jewelry?

I mean it’s almost like there is some unwritten requirement that females are attracted to pretty, shiny things. At least I sure as heck am! While I usually stick to my every day basics of my wedding ring, Infinity ring, pearl studs and my coordinates necklace, I have been trying to venture outside of that zone and add an unexpected piece or two to my outfits. The Songbird Collection has helped me do just that and their pieces have me SO excited! When I connected with The Songbird Collection I was lucky enough to pick out a few pieces for myself and I spent no time deciding on this fun Double Wrap Beaded Boho Choker and the Trinity Ring Set. I mean I pretty much adore any and all chokers right about now and the beaded details on this particular one instantly caught my eye. My choker collection is small but none of them have the long layer so this is different for me. I love the edge it seems to give everything I’ve paired it with and have been totally surprised by its versatility. And a ring set that includes a rose gold, gold and silver option? No brainer. Already I have stacked all three as well as worn them separately. They’re so dainty yet with the wavy cut they make a bold statement. I also have my eye on THIS open choker, THIS ring and THIS nailed bracelet. Hello, perfection.

My take on Biker Chic.

It is no secret that my style is pretty basic. I like to refer to it as timeless since basic tends to have a less positive connotation. Regardless, I have my go-to looks and usually just build around them. Kind of like I stepped outside of my comfort zone with some additional jewels, I also did so in my outfit. It took me 3.5 months to finally get this green faux jacket in my hands. Long story short, I ordered it during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and proceeded to have the wrong color shipped to me THREE different times. No joke. Apparently in this case, 4th time was the charm 😉 I’m seriously infatuated with the deep, bold color and I feel like it’s a bit more ‘me’ than some of the harder looking black biker jackets. Pairing it with grey and black was obvious to me and while I know I don’t look like an actual biker chick, I feel pretty bad ass. Absolutely not an outfit I wear on the regular so it was fun to toughen up my style for a day! The choker and rings provided just the right amount of accessorizing meshed well with the edge I was going for.
