Casual Fridays are my favorite.

To be honest, basically any day in my office can be casual and I love that but Fridays just feel different regardless of the dress code. Maybe because they’re my favorite weekday and they mean that in just a few hours we’re free for the weekend or maybe it’s because everyone just seems to be in a much better mood. Whatever the reason they sure bring a smile to my face! I’m especially excited for THIS Friday because it means one more night sleep until we get to pick out the newest addition to our family! EEEEK! Kyle has been searching for years, literally, for the perfect hunting dog and he finally found a litter from the bloodline he’s been dying to get a puppy from. I won’t lie and say I’m not super hesitant to have another big dog in the house {I’m a clean freak, so pray for me!}, but with all the fertility struggles we’ve been dealing with I am also really excited to have something to direct our energy towards. Right now we’re debating on names and lets just say that we don’t agree. On anything. If that’s any indication how it’s going to be come baby then we may be in a bit of trouble! 😉

Superstars with the comeback.

Onto the real reason for this post…today’s outfit combination. We have to start from the ground and move up because these Adidas Superstar sneakers bring me back. I’m pretty sure I had an almost identical pair circa 7th-ish grade. Not mad about their transition back into the spotlight though because they’re incredibly comfortable and match nearly everything. I debated on the classic black striped option but opted for the all white pair because I think they blend better with the pieces in my closet. Not that I need another super similar pair of these by any means but I do have the gold striped pair in my cart because I have a problem. #noshame

The T-Shirt Dress pairing…

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the sneakers + dress/skirt combination, however I’ve seen some blogger girls and celebs pull it off and look effortless. Well I haven’t mastered the look so I’ve taken a more cautious approach to trying out the trend. Enter this t-shirt dress. It’s basically an over-sized, comfy t-shirt that I would totally pair with sneakers but with some extra length. I love how the olive color of the dress and bright white shoe are a major contrast yet they’re not fighting each other for the spotlight. This billowy silhouette is another unusual pick for myself but it’s so soft and can be worn with booties and a blanket scarf as easily as paired with a biker jacket and strappy pumps. Versatility is key people! With a chill in the air, I topped this dress with my go-to denim jacket and dubbed it the perfect Casual Friday outfit.
