I don’t love my abs. Not currently & likely not ever.
As someone who has never been a fan of my stomach, I’ve tried literally everything to whittle my middle. I mean even in High School when I was in-season and in shape, I didn’t like how my stomach looked. Helllllo, I chose to get my nose pierced at 16 when all my friends were going to get their belly buttons pierced. That’s how much I wasn’t a fan. I’ve tried different foods, cleanses, exercises, etc. to see if I could change how my mid-section looked and finally after like 27.5 years I have started to embrace its appearance. Don’t mistake that as me saying I have abs or that I’m thrilled with how I look in a bikini, but I’m learning to embrace my body the way it is. I love desserts & doing away with coffee + some kind of flavor or creamer in the mornings isn’t happening for me, so I’m fine that having an 8, or even 6, pack for that matter is just not in the cards for me.
Abs are made in the kitchen.
That’s what everyone says and I have to agree. No amount of ab work will give you a flat stomach {unless you’ve been blessed genetically & in that case I hate you 😉} if your diet is full of crap. It’s science and it doesn’t lie. Lean, clean & green babes! That being said, there are plenty of awesome ab moves and exercises that can help with building definition. A strong core is key to so many workouts and it can save you from things like back and knee pain but it won’t be built overnight. Like most things, harvesting abdominal muscles takes time and dedication. But I don’t have all day sooooooo quickie workouts are a necessity… below are two of my favorite ab workouts that are quick, effective and require minimal space and equipment. I’m all about efficiency and results and these two circuits have helped build up my core strength and given me some actual definition. How awesome is that! Enjoy!
What are your favorite ab moves or workouts!? I’m always looking to add more into my routine! What do you think of these two?? Willing to try either of them tonight or this weekend!? Would love to hear your thoughts!
What a great post! I will definitely have to try this workout!

What a great post! I’ve accepted the fact I’ll never have a 6 pack (I love pizza way too much, lol) but I’m always looking to continue strengthening my core. I will definitely give this a try- thanks!
I feel ya on the ab issues. I don’t love my stomach either and I don’t imagine it’ll get sexier with age lol. What ab exercises would you suggest for someone with back problems? I can’t lay on the floor because it hurts too much!
I have major back issues too! If the floor bothers you, you can totally do the same/similar moves on an exercise ball. Otherwise planks are your best friend–alternate between forearm and straight arm planks with different variations and you should totally feel it & see results! 🙂
Can you please come to south Florida and train me haha!! You are SOOO good and I swear you never miss a day! MOTIVATION!! XX
ugh… no matter how skinny I get, I never have good abs… just not my thing. And it is so true…abs are made in the kitchen. But this momma lover her food way too much.

Love this post!! It can be so hard to embrace all the things we see “wrong” with our bodies. I’m more concerned with having a STRONG and HEALTHY body rather than rock hard abs, although I’d certainly take those too! Ha!
Love your quickie ab workout!! Mountain climbers always make me feel like a rockstar when I’m doing them! Love those!
