Keeping the girls in place can be a real struggle.
Am I right, ladies!? Whether you’re blessed in the chest or {like me} have hardly anything up to top speak of, we all face dilemmas when it comes to bras. Especially sports bras. We all want to be supported and comfortable while still feeling sexy. Gone are the days of plain, ugly undergarments; and for that I am incredibly thankful! I remember back in Junior High getting my first sports bra that was white & cotton. Gross. I also remember in High School when Target came out with a bunch of colored options and I had to have every single one of them. Back then I was more concerned about having enough colors to never re-wear the same one to practice after school than I was with the support they were, or were not, giving me. As I’ve grown up, despite my chest never getting the ‘grow’ memo, I’ve been more and more concise about finding the perfect fit in a workout bra much like I do when it comes to real ones. Side note: if you’re NOT female and reading this, I apologize and you’ll probably just want to stop now and come back tomorrow! 😉
Different workouts, different needs.
Just like our bodies are not one size fits all, neither should our sports bras be. Some of us swear by daily yoga sessions, some of us run hundreds of miles each year and some of us like to mix things up in terms of our workout regime; so because of that I am sharing 4 sports bras from 3 different categories to hopefully act as a guide for you the next time you’re scouring the fitness section of your favorite store or reading tons of reviews online to determine what is best for you. Keep in mind that as someone who likes to think she’s a 34B but is more likely to end up in a 34A, my recommendations are from personal experience. To cover a broader spectrum, I also enlisted the help of my sister Haley. I’m convinced God accidentally gave my share of boobs to her. She’s lucky–or unlucky, depends on how you look at it. We always want what we don’t have, huh!? I’m a huge fan of strappy {but practical!} backs and with a majority of my workouts being high-intensity, a moisture-wicking fabric is essential. See what Haley & I love below…

High Impact (Running, HIIT & Cycling) :
What are YOUR thoughts!? Do you have a favorite style or brand? Both Haley and I would LOVE to hear. She’s always looking for supportive options that hold her in place while still looking cute and I’m always on the hunt for something that may give me a little ‘extra’ without being obnoxious!
Great post, so true on the sports bras and personally I have different standards for different activities like when I jump rope…haha I need one that’s tight and secure no bouncing over here but yoga I love it to be loose and soft so I love your picks! Ps your body is beautiful

Love these! I love the one you’re wearing at the beginning of the post. As a fellow small-chested girl with a large-chested sister, I feel you! I like that I can get away with most sports bra styles, but for running I usually stick to Nike or Asics.

Ok first of all, you’re in amazing shape! Get it girl. And second of all, I had no idea what kind of bras I needed for different sports…. being an athlete all my life, you would think I would have a slight clue, but I’m slackin’ haha! Great read and great tips! xoxo
