It’s Thursday–or as I like to call it, Friday Eve!
In all seriousness, I would much prefer it to be Friday but as the weather seems to get nicer every day {minus the torrential rains we got yesterday!} my attitude has just drastically improved. Not saying I’m a major fan of Thursdays by any means but I feel like I’m almost to the weekend and that makes me happy. This week has been crazier than usual and the days have seemed to drag on so my #ThursdayThree is focusing on three things that have helped me survive the long days…
#1 – LaCroix Water – I love most of their flavors but have been downing the Pamplemousse like it’s my job this week. I’ve been feeling a bit lethargic and dehydrated plus have been constantly thirsty but usual ice water just hasn’t been cutting it. I was at Target Sunday afternoon and they had 12-packs on sale so I grabbed this one and have just been obsessed. I finally feel like my thirst has been quenched and since I don’t drink soda, this has been the perfect way to add some interest and carbonation to my taste buds! I’ve heard really good things about the Peach-Pear flavor, so that’s up next for me to try.
#2 – Meditation – This topic will be getting its own post in the future, but for now, it’s just getting a quick shout-out. With my mind wandering and my physical self being pulled in a ton of different directions this week, meditating for just 10 minutes/day has done wonders. I’ve been more calm, less stressed and feel confident that I can tackle anything the day throws at me. It’s dedicated ‘me’ time, that is uninterrupted, where I can think about whatever the heck I do or do not want to.
#3 – Being an AUNT!!! Palmer will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Craziness! Sunday and Monday night, my sister Haley & Palmer were our ‘roommates’ and I loved every single second of it. I’m an absolute baby hog and am unashamed. I was able to steal P from Haley around 5:30am both mornings so she could get a few hours of peaceful sleep and I could get my aunt fix. It was total perfection. Having him around was so amazing {Haley too, I guess} and it really helped me put everything into perspective. I’ve been so ‘go, go, go’ lately and he forced me to just sit down, relax, and enjoy the moments.
Omg how sweet! I love it.
So cute!
