Am I the only one who is super happy that January is over?? I’ve seen posts referring to January as the Monday of the months and I can totally relate. Sure we set our New Year intentions during the first 31 days of a new calendar year and positive {and negative} habits are formed, but I feel like January is gloomy and there is still a pretty strong holiday hangover happening. So with that, I am opening February with open arms! 🙂 I’ve been consistent with the resolutions I set and am happy with the progress–especially in my flexibility, thanks to more yoga!–that has come with staying on top of things. While I did shoot this look only 3 short days ago, it feels and look like so much more than that! Sunday brought Omaha an absolutely beautiful day {no coat was probably a bit too adventurous} and allowed us to run a few errands before Winter Storm Kayla was upon us. Yesterday was the polar opposite: tons of snow, wicked wind gusts, and everything in the area from work to movie theaters to the interstates were closed. I can’t even tell you the last time I had an ‘adult’ Snow Day, but it was absolutely fabulous!
This outfit was perfect for the Spring-like temps and I was excited to get to showoff this olive tunic. PS–it’s on SALE for under $26 and it comes in 4 other great colors. I also have the white and black and they’re serious staples in my wardrobe! Since picking the tunic up late fall from Nordstrom, I have only been able to style it with a cardigan and faux jacket because it is so lightweight. Unfortunately layering it that way causes this amazing olive color to be hidden to some extent, so going sans-layers this time gave it a time to shine. Something about this understated color, and the fact it nearly matches my eyes, makes me so happy. I kept it casual with a newer pair of lightly distressed AG skinnys, pumps, and neutral accessories so I didn’t look too overdone for stops at Trader Joe’s and a few other local places.
