First of all I want to thank everyone for all of the love on Wednesday’s post! Not sure if it was because of the more personal feel, or maybe the cute $28 sweaters, or {likely} Cassidy as my guest model, but the response was beyond amazing so THANK YOU! I’m definitely going to work on similar posts with Haley, Janae, & my sister-in-law Lindsey and I think I may have talked Kyle into doing a guy’s look in the very near future. YAY! Many of you have seen my Snapchats {follow me: kristinkruse} about the Artic blasts we’ve been having on a basically a daily basis but those don’t even do this weather justice. The background for these photos is absolutely gorgeous; I mean how pretty is the frozen lake surrounded by all of the snow? On the other hand, it’s seriously a pain-staking process to get yourself out of bed and dressed for the day when you know you have to add layer upon layer upon yet another layer. NOT FUN. I do however enjoy being able to wear sweaters on the regular.
This cowl neck is one of my favorites in my closet at the moment! While it is a bit on the thin side–I like to layer either this tank or this long sleeve underneath depending on where I’m headed–I’m a fan because of the long length and the soft texture. I have it in 3 of the 4 colors and at the sale price it is really hard to beat. Sizes are constantly selling out so scoop one up quickly! Similar to Cassidy, I don’t wear a ton of jewelry or accessories. Keeping the sweater true to my style, I went with the ‘Mocha’ color which is actually has more grey tones {shocking, me in grey!} and paired it with a mix of black. These heavily destructed denim are a great buy and both Kyle and I HIGHLY recommend the DSTLD brand. Quality denim at pocket-friendly prices! 🙂 To finish off the look I added Chelsea booties and printed sunglasses that tied in the color palette. I love how this outfit is easy with a bit of edge. To make the look work appropriate just swap out the denim for skinny pants, the boots forpumps, add a dark lip and you’re good to go!
