Reaching outside my usual color palette of blacks, greys, creams, more black, and the some more grey, I thought this color added the perfect edge to my cozy knits collection. The light, icy blue tone works well for all different skin colors and brings a softness to the deeper shades of Fall and Winter. When I found this at Lulu’s, I was intrigued first by the scoop back and that it was referred to as a sweater dress. The word dress must have been a really light suggestion because at just under 5’5″ there is NO WAY I could’ve pulled this off without pants. I do not discriminate when it comes to buying oversized, chunky sweaters; whether they be cowl-neck, off-the-shoulder, v-neck, or a cardigan, I have yet to buy one this year that I don’t love just as much as the others.
Since this wasn’t exactly the dress it was advertised to be, I decided to add an adorable pair of moto jeggings that I picked up at Four Sisters Boutique in Omaha {this exact pair isn’t available online, but I linked the navy version below!}. I really like the way the moto detailing and ankle zippers give the super feminine top an alternative vibe. Finishing everything off with my constantly repeated flats and sunnies, I felt girly and edgy at the same time! 🙂 To dress this up a bit I would add suede leggings & ankle booties and to dress it down even further, destructed denim and a floppy hat in the same color family.
