The trees in Nebraska are quickly losing their leaves and I’m already feeling a sense of sadness as some of the beautiful fall colors are being replaced with shades of brown. Yuck! When we first moved to Omaha, one of Kyle & I’s favorite things to do was go on long drives to discover new spots and familiarize ourselves with the new area. We no longer do that nearly as often with our usually hectic weekends, but this weekend we had NOTHING planned. That in itself was glorious! With the temps in the upper 50s, not a cloud in the sky, and a nearly nonexistent breeze, we hopped in the truck for a leisurely drive. With no plans other than to find a spot for some Hot Apple Cider and looking at pretty trees, we headed north and away from the city limits. Wanting to be comfortable, yet presentable, I wore thistop {now 40% off during Nordstrom’s Fall Sale!} and destroyed boyfriend jeans. I wasn’t planning to take any blog pictures but as we drove down this gravel road, we just had to stop. The lighting was perfect and the rust-color of my top paired with the background so well.
Free People is one of my favorite brands for tops and sweaters because of their usual oversized fit and reasonable price-tags. I saw this cross-front top online, initially in this pretty blue shade. Once I realized it came in this ‘raisin’ hue, I was convinced it needed to be added to my cart. It’s soft, lightweight, and the cut of the top is very flattering. It can be dressed up a bit with dark skinnys and boots or taken even more casual than I’m wearing it, with leggings and sneakers. I’m honestly considering adding this color to my closet as well because I love it so much. Here are a few more Free People favorites of mine that are also currently 40% off: this sweater, this top, this plaid, this maxi dress, and this sweater.
