Happy Friday! I’ve actually been excited to say that all week, so thank goodness it’s finally here. This post is a bit different than usual but one of my favorite things about blogging is that I can do whatever I want 🙂 I love partnering with fabulous people, products, and brands to {hopefully} introduce you to someone or something new. Today, meet Tanisha. She’s the beauty—and brain—behind coming-soon blog Heels on a Farm. She’s a friend, sister-in-Christ, fellow Siouxlander, entrepreneur, has a brilliant sense of style, and to this day is the ONLY person my sister Cassidy will let touch her hair. ENJOY! xox

I’m Tanisha Andersen.
I’m a mommy of two adorable littles, wifey, Jesus lover, salon owner, and stylist that has a passion for fashion.
I absolutely love all things girly, fancy, and fun!

Why Heels on a Farm?
I grew up in a city; the heart of Sioux City, Iowa to be exact, population around 80,000.
My mother is a nurse and my father a firefighter. I came from a world of concrete streets and close neighbors. When I married my husband (a farmer) he quickly swept me off my feet, and later moved me to his family farm. I am a girly girl. I’ve always loved to get dolled up, and put on heels (or a really FABULOUS shoe).
So, then HEELS ON A FARM was born.

Favorite place(s) to shop?
My heart belongs to Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus (sigh)
I could shop those stores for hours and hours and then one more hour.

I ADORE Kate Spade–a woman after my own heart. Out of every designer I can relate to, it’s her. She has so much FUN with fashion (I mean, that’s the point right?) She is girly, eclectic, and surprising. I collect everything from handbags, watches, jewelry, dresses, coats, stationary, glasses, and coffee mugs to glitter coasters. I’m obsessed.

My go-to for trendy items is H&M its affordable and still decent quality.

Your 3 ‘must-have’ beauty items:
1. L’anza Neem serum!
I can’t go anywhere without this product. It’s the best hair product I’ve ever tried, annnnd that’s A LOT of products! (Stop into Gloss Hair and Makeup Boutique to pick it up!)

2. Lipstick!
Whether it’s Nars, Mac, YSL, or Bite, I love them all! From nudes to pinks, plums, and reds.

3. Shea Moisture African Black face soap.
The best face product. It helps everything from eczema to blemishes. I have yet to find one that trumps this. Plus, it’s only $6. How can you beat that?

How did you meet your hubby & tell us about your 2 minis:
My husband Will Andersen and I met downtown, Sioux City at a hip Caribbean-Mexican place, REBOS. I was sipping on red sangria with a girl-friend. Will walked up and complimented me. Me being a sucker for charm, and chivalry, I couldn’t wait to see him again. A few weeks later he asked me on our first date. We have been married for 5 years. We have a gorgeous little girl Cruz who has TONS of personality and is turning 4 soon, and a beautiful, sweet little boy of 10 months who bring us both so much JOY!!

How do you relax & unwind after a long day?
Silk pajamas, a book, a glass of red wine, and of course, chocolate!

What are a few of your vices/things you can’t live without?
I can’t live without my latte. Seriously, I can’t function!

How do you take your coffee?
VENTI, Skinny, iced, cinnamon dolce latte with an extra shot of espresso.
