The Nordstrom Anniversary Sales is a great time to stock up on staples as well as snag great transitional pieces that are heavily discounted. This little swing dress was one of the most inexpensive, and so far my most utilized, pick up. Every girl needs a few easy pieces that involve little thought and minimal effort to achieve a put together look, and this particular dress works perfectly for that. Being incredibly comfortable and cut on top to allow it to be worn with a sports bra makes it a winner in my book! The dress comes in multiple colors but I went with black because it can move seamlessly between seasons just as well as it moves from Church to work to a girl’s afternoon. I luckily snagged a few other simple dresses during the sale that have proven to be great investments AND make those mornings when you’re contemplating which pants & top to pair together go so much more smoothly. This, this, and this are 3 of my favorite purchases.
For a few quick Saturday morning errands and a necessary Iced Latte run, I topped this swing dress with an adorable utility vest, slipped on a fun pair of lace-up flats, and grabbed a basic black crossbody to allow for hands-free browsing. To off-set the shorter hem, a pair of kitten pumps and a simple blazer will take me right to a Monday in the office, while lace-up heels, a statement-making necklace, and a fun clutch easily take you to a romantic dinner. I’m also super excited to wear this as more of a top, tucking the front of it into thesejeans and pairing with this vest for those fast-approaching cooler days.
