Once of the quickest ways to build any kind of business/hobby, including a blog, is to collaborate with like-minded individuals. Being able to learn from and feed off of someone else’s creativity is inspiring in itself, but being able to share similar aspirations is even more so. When I first started A Midwestern Mix, I wanted it to be MY creative outlet; now having one of my first opportunities to partner with someone–the fabulous Gina Melvin, an independent Chloe + Isabel Merchandiser–I’m able to share another lovely lady’s creative passion! {For those of you who are unfamiliar with C+I, you can check out their story here} I’m always hesitant when it comes to direct marketing companies but Chloe + Isabel is not like so many other, similar companies. One of my favorite things about them {besides the adorable jewelry & their empowerment of being your boss & that each piece is hand-designed in their New York City studio & that all their pieces are hypoallergenic} is that Social Responsibility is a top priority.
Starting next week (August 3), I will be hosting an online-only ‘Pop Up’ Boutique where you’ll have the ability to purchase as many wonderful C+I pieces as your heart desires. Gina was so kind in gifting me a few of her favorite pieces to work into my everyday wardrobe, so my focus today is on the super versatile Sand & Sky Pendant. I love how you can wear this as each strand individually or layered, like I prefer.
Wanting to keep the necklace as the focal point, I decided to go with a bright, contrasting orange top–seriously SO COMFORTABLE and I’m really wanting to add the Cypress Green and Vintage Navy to my closet too–plus my favorite pair of white denim cut-offs. This combo is pretty much my typical uniform during weekend days because I’m able to run errands or pop into one of my favorite lunch spots without looking like I just came from the gym. Happy Monday loves & be sure to stay tuned for the next C+I post!
