Ever since Target began doing designer collaborations, I’ve been on-board {until Lilly Pulitzer but that is a whole separate topic}! So when they announced their collab with Peter Pilotto I was thrilled. Having the ability to actually afford some of his amazing pattern-work, intricate design, and over-the-top color combinations made me super excited! I hit up the nearest Target the day of the release and picked up a few necessities, this adorable fold-over skirt being my favorite. I love how the simplicity of black and white is used to create such a vibrant look, plus Alexa Chung was spotted wearing this and if she was a fan, so would I be too!
The ability to wear a piece out & about but also to work is key for me since I’m in an office setting 45-50 hours each week; and this skirt gets compliments from co-workers as well as people on the weekend. I paired it with a solid, satiny magenta blouse and my simple black D’orsay heels. I like how the bright top adds a punch of color without being too busy. Swapping out my usual office tote for this chain strap Kate Spade clutch lets me go straight to dinner and drinks.
