One of my sisters has told me multiple times that my style is plain. Basic. Predictable. I used to think that meant I lacked any style at all and wearing my usual outfits wasn’t ‘enough.’ Today I’m proving basics can be so much more than boring.
I love how this chambray top has a less predictable short(ish) sleeve and how the color of it contrasts just enough with the darker denim on bottom to work. Dress this look up with a simple heel or wedge or down for some weekend errands in flat, neutral sandals like I did. I’m all about practicality and this is the perfect way to make a subtle, yet noticeable, statement. In keeping with the blue theme, I added my favorite mirrored aviators but chose to keep my bag in the same color family as the sandals in order to not overwhelm.
